Farmers William & Sue Milverton are tenants of the Crown Estate ? William and sons James & Rob run the farm, Sue runs the restaurant with Alex Ballinger and a team of smiling students. Head Chef Guy Horley is in charge in the kitchen with Rob as relief chef.? Brad Edrich is our apprentice chef who has just won Weston College catering & Hospitality Learner of the Year and overall Learner of the Year 2012.
The Clavelshay Barn kitchen is led by our highly experienced Head Chef, Guy Horley, who produces country cooking with a contemporary twist. The menu is deliberately small to ensure that all dishes can be prepared and cooked to order and the menu is changed each month to make best use of local seasonal produce. We are delighted to have been awarded a ?Taste of the West? Silver Award in 2009, 2010? and again in 2011 for our use of local produce.
We have entered the Taste of the West product awards for?the?first time this year and have been awarded a bronze for our Pear & Chilli Chutney and Red Onion marmalade. We will be starting to sell these products in the restaurant for you to take home.
