What's considered a 'long distance' relationship?

How far away is a long distance relationship? Would city-suburb distance be one?

What should I expect to be different other than of course, the distance. I feel gorrible saying this, but should I be worried about her doing stuff when I have no way of knowing?

If you cannot easily go and see her regularly and even some time on the weekends it is tough.
