State Bank of India invites application for recruitment

The author has posted comments on this articleTNN | Jan 3, 2012, 05.05PM IST NEW DELHI: State Bank of India ( SBI) has invited applications from eligibible candidates to fill up its Clerical Cadre vacancies for its various branches.

The last date for registration of online applications is 20-01-2012. And the written examination will be held on 18-03-2012.

The minimum educational qualification mentioned should include minimum 12th Standard (10+2) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS).

Candidates of PWD(OBC) & XS(OBC) who desire to apply under Special Recruitment Drive should have minimum of 60% marks in 12th standard or in equivalent qualification or a degree (Graduation level) from a recognised university.

State Bank of India has also set the minimum age and maximum age of candidates as 18 years and 28 years (as on 01.12.2011) respectively. Candidates who are born between 30-11-1983 & 01-12-1993 are only eligible to apply.

The final shortlisting process will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together. And the written test will comprise of objective type consisting of (i) General Awareness (ii) General English (iii) Quantitative Aptitude (iv) Reasoning Ability (v) Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge. The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be printed bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. Moreover, for each wrong answer in the Objective tests 1/4 marks will be deducted.
